N828AP — live tracking every few seconds while it is in the air, and who this aircraft is the rest of the time.
Alternate AIR7 airframe for KABC Channel 7, originally branded 'NewsCopter 7' but now painted in AIR7 colors and integrated into the same news-coverage rotation as N71HD and N29HD.
We have recorded ABC NewsCopter over 228 neighborhoods across Southern California, 3305 passes in all — most recently over Lake Balboa on 17 October.
Counted from this site's own observations of the public ADS-B feed, not from a flight plan — a pass is a visit we watched, and the list is what we have seen, not everywhere this aircraft has been.
Our record ties ABC NewsCopter to 24 scenes, the 8 most recent below.
This record starts on 10 August and only includes scenes GTLA opened a page for — most of them opened automatically, when our tracking saw helicopters gather over one spot or follow a chase — so it is not a complete history of where this aircraft has flown.

The portrait of ABC NewsCopter is an AI-generated fleet illustration, made from photographs of the real aircraft; markings follow the photographed livery. KABC · Helinet is not affiliated with GTLA.
